Bolt did it again.
The Jamaican track star shot down any concerns about his fitness by defeating the star-studded field in the 100-meter dash with a time of 9.63 seconds. While a few ran their personal bests, it wasn't enough to top Bolt who's time broke an Olympic record.
Bring on the 200 meters.
The host country got to continue its celebration of last night's winners early on Sunday when Andy Murray dominated Roger Federer for the Olympic singles gold medal.Less than a month after getting beaten by the Swiss star, Murray beat the 17-time grand slam champion in straight sets.
Then, he played in the mixed doubles gold medal match. He and teammate Laura Robson didn't come out with the gold, losing to Belarus' Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka.
The Williams sisters won their third Olympic women's doubles gold medal, beating the Czech Republic duo of Lucie Hradecka and Andrea Hlavackova in straight sets.
The U.S. women's basketball continued to roll in its last group stage game, crushing China 114-66 for its 38th straight Olympic win.
Slukova tried to keep the rally alive with a diving attempt but couldn't keep the ball up. USA wins the quarterfinal match, 25-23, 21-18.
Slukova Kolocova are still fighting. They staved off 2 match points. 20-18 USA.
Kessy sets up Ross for the spike and she nails it off the net and drops over. 13-7 USA.
Kessy just looked back at Ross before her serve and said "Lets do this!" Then they went out and Kessy delivered an off-speed shot in an open area for the point. 11-6 USA.
Slukova goes for the spike but hits it long. 8-6 USA in the second set. Teams switch sides.
Kolocova punches one over. It looked like was going to go long but Kessy touched it and couldn't set up Ross. Tied at 6.
USA serves and Slukova sets one up for Kolocova, but she hits it long and USA takes the first set, 25-23.
Americans take the lead after Slukova spikes was into the net. That was a poor set-up though. 24-23 USA in the first set.
Slukova blocks a big shot from Ross to take a 23-22 lead in the first set. On set point, Kessy set up Ross who went off-speed and fooled Czech Rep. Tied at 23.
