Living Peaceful, Abundant, Healthy Lifestyles: SEO for Dummies ...

SEO is the opposite pace of main stream life; sounds bites of one or two minutes that are considered informational.

There are no quick answers and doing SEO tasks require you to be much fluid, what worked last time may need tweaking this time, in a massive environment. If you are expecting to pick up doing SEO like ordering off a take out menu - you are setting your self up for disappointment.

Relax and enjoy the ride. ?Then, and only then, will you discover the successful threads of SEO for your project. Every project is unique and all the threads weave the tapestry that creates the internet we enjoy and rely on.

Yesterday I gave you the research tools for keywords. That was a doorway to a path. ?It's wasn't a menu.

Let's talk more about keywords; just know this topic could fill volumes.

Your key words must be relevant.

1. ?The words on your page must be contextually synchronous. ?If you are talking or selling shoes on your page then socks would be a nice topic too. But, if you brought in belts that?s a stretch unless you change your key word strategy to "clothes" instead of "shoes". ?Get my drift?

2. ?So on that page about shoes you would have ZERO links to anything other than shoes and shoe accessories: your key word relevancy.

Case in point, why do you think Google searches your email and web pages for content and then offers up automatic ads that match that content? ?You got it, relevancy. Don't believe me? Go read you gmail mail and look at the ads that appear on that page for your different emails.

3. This is my reasoning for NOT participating in Google ad words. And, if you hire me, I would tell you you take 'em off your page. Participating means adding links to your page or post that messes up the keyword strategy; due to the links in those ads may not be precisely relevant to your key word strategy. Yep, the search engines measure all this stuff so you have to be smart about your key word strategy. ?Those who measure highest relevancy get placed higher in the search engine results. I know this for a fact.

I have taken NA and zero page rank sites and turned 'em into page ranks of three in less than six months. ?We are gonna cover page rank (PR) in the next part or two of this series.

4. Your have four meta tags: title, keywords, description, and author. Stuff all of these with different content FOR EVERY PAGE. Blog posts work a little differently. ?

Title: Make this a phrase or two that exists on your web page

Keywords: I suggest 12 phrases here and that would vary with the project I am working on.

Description:? Use different phrase than what you use in the Description meta tag.

Author: Place a unique phrase here that is on your page content

5. How to get started?? Go check your meta tags and see where you stand. Here is one of my favorite free tools: http://www.scrubtheweb.com/abs/meta-check.html
