Botta, who actively donates to breast cancer organizations and research groups all over the United States, is especially excited to be participating in this walk for breast cancer this fall because it provides a unique way to connect with the breast cancer community at large.
While checks and other forms of donations are greatly appreciated by all kinds of medical research institutions, Ida Botta believes that actively raising that money herself by participating in a walk will be a unique experience. ?I love to support breast cancer research whenever I can,? says Botta, ?but it?s not always possible for me to be a part of the breast cancer walks. I?m thrilled to be participating in a walk this fall!?
For Ida Botta, participating in the breast cancer walk also offers a unique opportunity to reach out to a community of breast cancer survivors, as well as others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. ?I know that breast cancer is no easy thing to deal with,? says Botta. ?And though I?ve donated to research organizations for some time, I felt like it was important that I actually become involved in a more active way. The walk is a perfect opportunity for me to do that.?
Those who know Ida Botta know that she cares. Breast cancer research isn?t the only recipient of Botta?s charity. Ida Botta also donates time and money to her church, and of course, in her professional life, Botta is a humble servant. Having taught Italian at three different schools in New York, Ida Botta has helped enrich the life of many young students.
However, despite achieving notable success as a schoolteacher, Ida Botta ultimately hopes to become a guidance counselor. For Botta, helping others is always at the forefront of her focus. Whether it?s in the classroom or walking to support breast cancer, Ida Botta always has others in mind.
?The walk for breast cancer will certainly be one of the highlights of the new school year,? says Botta. ?I certainly am looking forward to it!?

Ida Botta is a strong believer in getting the most out of your education and she loves teaching. And she wants to teach Italian. She is certified to teach ages 7-12 in the State of New York. She has already taught at three different schools all of which are located in New York. The third school Rockland High School is where she teaches presently. But, her goal is to not only teach but to eventually become a Guidance Counselor.
