Beyond Fitness yoga instructor and cancer survivor is hosting Sing for a Cure: A Night of Acoustic Inspirational Music at the Paradise Grange.
"I've been raising money for Relay for Life since its inception, and I wanted to do something different," said Debbe Gagne. "I know so many amazing songwriters and musicians, I said, 'let's do a concert.'"
Though eight different acts will perform, the show will be more along the lines of a house concert than a big rock show, she said.
"I wanted it to be a mellow evening," she said.
Performers include David Zink; gospel singer Lori Glori; Lisa Flores and Jeri Luce, who will perform Italian and Latin songs; Tom Taylor and Vera Laure, members of Ha'penny Bridge and Strange Fiction, and others.
Gagne said the music will be positive and inspirational revolving around people's cancer experience. She said the show is nearly sold out, but a handful of tickets may still be available. To check for tickets, which are $10 apiece, call Beyond Fitness at 877-7500. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
Relay for Life is on June 2 and 3 at Paradise High School's Om Wraith Field.
The Paradise Grange is located at 5704 Chapel Drive across from the Gold Nugget Museum.
